Hibernian boss Jack Ross has been impressed with how well recent arrivals Jackson Irvine and Chris Cadden have performed since signing for the Easter Road club.
The Hibernian manager admitted that it was a bit of a gamble signing the players in January, however, he has pleased with what the duo have contributed so far.
“Really pleased”
“Really pleased. There was an element of risk bringing them in mid-season because of their lack of game time recently” he said.

“Obviously Jackson had the longer spell out the game. Even though Chris had been active with Columbus he hadn’t had a huge amount of game time. When you bring somebody in during the January window you really need them to hit the ground running.
“We took a risk”
“So we took a risk in that respect. But I think we’ve seen already the quality they provide. I think they give us things that we didn’t necessarily have in the squad which is always important. I also think that the two of them have got better with each passing game, which is encouraging as well” Ross declared.

Hibernian are in action this evening against St Mirren, a game in which Irvine and Cadden are likely to feature. Hibernian go into the game on the back of a 2-0 win over Dundee United last weekend. A win that Ross took plenty of positives from.
“We kept a clean sheet, and showed quality in the goals that we scored. Performance level I’ve been pleased with in the last two games, and you want results to run parallel to that, and certainly that result away from home is pleasing for us.”
