Scott Allan is already proving himself to be an even bigger Hibs hero on his return to Easter Road. He’s made a fantastic gesture to a young fan recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
The recent Hibees arrival has invited the young kid, who’s name is Elliot, and his dad to Easter Road. Living with the condition himself, Allan has taken the time via Hibs’ Twitter to invite the pair to Easter Road to talk about it.
It’s a brilliant gesture that’ll mean so much to Elliot and his family. Some Hibs fans have reacted to the kind act.
Messages like the one Allan has sent are so important
It can’t be underestimated how good and important these messages of encouragement are. Young kids are so impressionable and look up to people like Allan as god-like figures.
A message from these people they look up to when times are tough can make all the difference to them.
Allan’s actions may seem like nothing to him, but to the person who’s receiving this message, it can make their day, week, the list goes on. It is a memory that an impressionable young child will never forget.
The minutes Elliot spends with Allan will feel like some of the best to him. He’s doing so well to cope with an illness like diabetes at an early age. Hopefully his chat with his Hibs hero can give him inspiration and provide some moments of magic that’ll stay with him the rest of his life.
