Hibs manager Jack Ross has blasted his side’s league form as “not acceptable” after slipping to a fifth consecutive defeat, losing 1-0 to Ross County in Dingwall last night.
The Hibees were edged out in a narrow game as they lost ground on the top six in the Premiership and Ross think his side “looked comfortable” for much of the game – before two late red cards left the Easter Road men down to nine players.
We can confirm that Nathan Wood has returned to Middlesbrough for the remainder of his loan period.

“I’m not happy in terms of losing the game. We need to start winning league games. The run we are on is not acceptable for us as a club,” Ross said.
“It’s not good enough for us as a club, not for the ambition we have and the standards we have set.
“In terms of the performance, first half I thought we were good – created good opportunities but didn’t capitalise on them.
“At half-time I wasn’t satisfied because we should have been ahead, but I felt it was a platform to go on and win the game. We just needed that extra energy and intensity and the finishing touch.
“I don’t think second half we got to the same performance level, albeit we looked comfortable, except the last 10 minutes and that’s because we are a man down and chasing the game. Prior to that, okay, but we need to be better than okay to win games.”
Meanwhile, the Easter Road side have ended the loan of Nathan Wood early, allowing him to return to parent club Middlesbrough six months ahead of schedule.
Wood is already back training with the Championship side ahead of his loan formally being ended when the transfer window opens, with Hibs saying it was done to protect their relationship with Boro’.
The Englishman only made one appearance for Hibs, playing in the 3-0 defeat by Dundee United last month.
