Currently coming back into pre-season training after being diagnosed with Covid-19, Doig has brushed off chat surrounding teams like Leeds United, instead focusing on another year at Hibs (Sky Sports): “There’s always speculation and I know that myself. For me just now, I need to get back to fitness.

“I was out with Covid-19 and it’s took away my age and fitness a wee bit! But I love it at Hibs. I came here at 17 and they’ve developed me on the pitch and in the gym. I’ve got another year to look forward to here.”
