Hibs could be set to bring Scotland youth international Glenn Middleton on loan from Rangers – and fans are excited at the prospect of seeing the 19-year-old winger at Easter Road.
Hibees boss Paul Heckingbottom confirmed that he had opened talks with the Ibrox side over a move for the teenager, with Football Scotland reporting he was spotted at Easter Road watching Hibs beat St. Mirren 1-0 in yesterday’s Scottish Premiership opener.

“He’s someone we have spoken to Rangers about,” Heckingbottom told Football Scotland.
“We’d be keen to do something, Rangers would and so would Glenn so hopefully we can get something done there.
“It would be a loan. Glenn is someone Rangers value highly.”
Middleton had an impressive debut season in the Rangers first-team, making 29 appearances and scoring five times with a further five assists, but has fallen down the pecking order this season.

The winger had looked set to head for Holland and a stint on loan with NAC Breda but Martin Boyle’s latest injury blow looks to have spurred Heck into luring him across the M8.
Hibs fans on Twitter seemed to be right behind the move – with one saying the winger would be an “excellent addition” to Heckingbottom’s squad for the new campaign.
