Hibs midfielder Scott Allan has delivered a message which should excite Hibees fans everywhere.
Allan has been their star man so far this season by some distance. After arriving from Celtic this summer for a third stint in Leith, he has already scored four goals and notched four assists.

The man himself though is insisting that he hasn’t even hit top form, a frightening prospect for defences everywhere in Scotland.
He told Hibs TV: “I’ve still got a lot more to give to the team. I don’t think I am 80% of what I can do with the ball. It’s a work in progress but I am happy with where I am at the moment.
“I am sure having not played a lot of football last year the 120 minutes will probably do me the world of good. From a personal point of view, that’s the positive I am taking.”
If Allan is operating this well at 80% for Hibs, what can fans expect at 100%?
Morton were the latest team to feel the wrath of Allan’s impressive form. He notched two assists and scored once in a 5-3 victory for Hibs at Easter Road.

Paul Heckingbottom looks to Allan for that bit of star quality. At this stage anyway, the midfielder looks a cut above what any of his teammates can provide.
Going by his comments, this is him operating on a return to fitness. If he isn’t in his full stride yet, what will he be like when he’s firing on all cylinders?
Fans should be very excited about this prospect. Most people would be delighted if Allan kept up the form he is in just now throughout the season, never mind an improvement on it.

He is going to be a massive player for Hibs this season, especially when he has shaken off any rustiness left from his time on the sidelines at Celtic.
Fans are loving Allan and his performances. By the sounds of things, they’re only going to get better.
