Hibs have set an asking price of £5 million for left-back Josh Doig as interest from the likes of Arsenal continues to persist (FL).

The teenager enjoyed a breakthrough 2020/21 season in the Scottish Premiership and scooped the Scottish Football Writers Young Player of the Year award. Arsenal interest has been well-documented since the January transfer window.

Arsenal want Doig ahead of their Premier League rivals.

But they aren’t the only English Premier League side looking at Doig, Leeds United keen on his signature while Chelsea, Leicester City and Manchester City have all been linked with a move too. Arsenal are yet to make an offer for the teenager, who has been named in the SPFL Premiership Team of the Season.

A £5 million fee plus a sell-on clause would represent fantastic business for Hibs who will look to earn maximum profit from one of their young stars. Jack Ross’ side will host Arsenal in a friendly at Easter Road next month.
