Lee Miller wasn’t physically present at the Falkirk Stadium on Saturday – but he still played a part in a big Bairns win.
The co-boss was stuck in the house after someone in his family received a positive Covid-19 test, meaning he has to spend time in self-isolation. It left David McCracken himself on the touchline during the Bairns’ match against East Fife.

It was a successful day for Falkirk, winning 2-0 courtesy of goals through Robbie Leitch and Akeel Francis. The result moves them onto seven points from nine available in their opening three League One fixtures ahead of a huge match away to Partick Thistle this weekend.
Whilst he didn’t have his sidekick with him in person, Miller still had plenty of input in the win: “Lee wasn’t here in person but he was in my ear, there were conversations going on throughout the game.
“Lee was still part of it. He’s gutted not to be here but it’s the safest thing to do.

“For us just now it’s getting results. I thought our performance was a wee bit better as well. I thought there were spells we had more control of and there were some good performances.
“All-round, it was a hard-working performance with the conditions, but the boys dealt well with it. The timing of the goals were important. It’s a pleasing performance.
“Defensively we were better. The two centre-backs and PJ Morrison behind them, he read the game well and made a couple of decent saves. It was important to get a clean sheet, we haven’t had that in a while.”
