Ex-Hearts full-back Marcus Godinho has blasted Hibs, saying he ‘hated’ the Easter Road side.
The Canadian joined German third division outfit FSV Zwickau this summer. He has penned a two-year contract with them.

Now speaking to the Edinburgh Evening News, Godinho has opened up on how beating Hibs was his favourite moment in maroon.
He said: “Beating Hibs away was the highlight of my time at Hearts. I’ll never forget that. I hated Hibs as well, which is something you pick up from being at Hearts. I knew how much it meant to the fans and the club to go there and win for the first time in several years.
“To break that run was unbelievable. I remember after the game, every single player was exhausted after giving their all, the fans had all stayed behind to celebrate and the atmosphere was unbelievable.”
Some Hibs fans will not even remember who Godinho is
Most Hibs fans still won’t know who the Canadian is, so these comments will and should be like water off a duck’s back.

Godinho played in two Edinburgh derby matches, the most notable being the 1-0 victory at Easter Road in December 2018.
Sure this will have been great for him, but does he really hate Hibs? Probably not. It’s unlikely he knew much about them prior to his Gorgie arrival.
These comments are a bit odd. He didn’t anything of note in either Edinburgh derby he played in.

Godinho never really showed that he hated Hibs when he played against them and won’t have the chance to prove it anymore after his Hearts departure.
