It seems that Championship side Dundee are the favourites to sign Aberdeen striker Stevie May.
The Daily Record is reporting that the Dens Park side are leading the race to sign the forward on a permanent deal. The report goes on to say that May’s former club St Johnstone are also interested in the player. However, Dundee lead the battle at the moment.
Should Dundee sign May it would be a bit of a coup. It would also give the team a real boost in their battle to win promotion back to the Premiership.

Will want to respond to rival’s signing
Dundee will have seen promotion rivals Dundee United sign a striker in Lawrence Shankland. Therefore, they will want to respond in kind.

It has to be said that May has struggled to recapture the form he displayed at St Johnstone that earned him a move to Sheffield Wednesday and a Scotland call-up.
Could help promotion race

He has found it difficult to find the back of the net on a regular basis for the Dons. However, if he can get back on the goal trail, he could put the Dens Park side on the road to promotion.
It remains to be seen if Dundee will sign May. He might want to return to his former club St Johnstone. However, it would be a good deal for Dundee to pull off if they can get it done.
