Aberdeen still have their 100 per cent record intact and Jack MacKenzie has been a big part of that.

The Pittodrie side have won seven out of seven in the Premiership and are level on points with champions and table-toppers Celtic. But Jimmy Thelin’s side have won all of their games in EVERY competition, 13 from 13 under the Swede’s charge.

Pape Gueye’s return from loan in sparkling goalscoring form, before his injury, was a major factor and loan signing Kevin Nisbet has been chipping in. Other new signings like Topi Keskinen and Sivert Nilsen have also played their part.

But some exisiting players have been up there too, including the likes of Graeme Shinnie and MacKenzie.

Aberdeen star MacKenzie wanted by Preston, Sheffield United and Stoke City

The left-back has improved year on year for the Dandies and has enjoyed a stunning start to the current campaign.

So much so, that clubs down south are now monitoring him. Preston, Sheffield United and Stoke are the ones running the rule over the 24-year-old, reports the Scottish Sun.

The Aberdeen academy product, recently called up the Scotland squad, is out of contract next summer and could open talks with clubs over a pre-contract switch in January.

What Jimmy Thelin said about MacKenzie’s Aberdeen future

The Dons boss recently addressed MacKenzie’s situation, explaining: “The dialogue with the club is good.

“Let’s see what will happen but I can’t speak for the players. There is a process there.”
