There’s little time for rest at Hibs – but Jack Ross isn’t too fussed by that as he prepares for the visit of Celtic.
The Hibees took a couple of setbacks consecutively before the international fixtures, losing to Hearts in a Scottish Cup semi-final before a defeat to Aberdeen at Pittodrie in the league.

Ross’ men returned to form with a 4-1 win over Dundee at the weekend and now look forward to the visit of Celtic on Saturday.
Hibs haven’t had much time to breathe this term due to League Cup involvement, but Ross reckons it’s not all bad considering the events of earlier this year, now relishing a ‘big’ game against Celtic.
“For the amount of time we were inactive during the lockdown I think it’s nice for us to get back at it,” said Ross.

“I am quite used to it from the job I was in previously (Sunderland manager) as you bang out a lot of fixtures in a short period of time. So that’s something I have got used to as a manager and I don’t mind it.
“I think the players are in the swing of things too. But breaks are always nice! There’s a short turnaround to Saturday and it’s a big game for us.
“There’s been no panic. It’s just been about building them back up again and I think we have shown that we are a good side. There will be further bumps and we aren’t the finished article.

“But in the main we’ve been good.”
