Hibs perhaps never got the praise Rangers did for winning away at Kilmarnock – but Jack Ross thinks it shows how impressive his team have been on the road this term.
Only Rangers have a better record than Ross’ side away from home, Hibs winning five of their seven away fixtures. A tough one awaits them tonight though as they face Aberdeen.

A big reward of second place lies ahead of Ross over the international break if his men can beat Derek McInnes’ and Motherwell achieve victory over Celtic.
Ross recognises that is a huge carrot for Hibs to chase as he drew comparison between the Hibees and Rangers’ respective Rugby Park results.
“It’s a brilliant incentive for us,” said Ross. “It’s a brilliant carrot especially after last weekend. I know the club hasn’t had a great recent history there and it’s something we need to put right.

“It’s about achieving another three points. I think maybe when you step back you appreciate what it does to grow confidence. Winning away from home at Livingston earlier in the season who’s home record was brilliant.
“Winning away at Kilmarnock. We won 1-0, through a penalty. I was asked after the game if I thought it was scrappy.
“The league leaders went there and were acclaimed for it, so we recognise how good a result that was for us and it’s the same going to Pittodrie. You have to be very good and have things fall your way.”
