Jack Ross has disclosed that he does have big ambitions for his current Hibernian side, as they sit on the verge of going second in the Premiership.
A win over Hamilton would see the Easter Road move above Celtic in the league table. Although the Scottish Champions would have games in hand.
Ross has revealed that he wouldn’t have set the goals for the players if he didn’t think that they were capable of meeting them.
“A terrific place”
“It’s a terrific place to find ourselves in. Albeit if we do win it would only be potentially for 24 hours. I think that I’ve spoke often enough about setting fairly lofty ambitions for the players this season. But equally ones that we still felt were genuinely achievable” he said.

The Hibernian boss also admitted that the chance of going second in the league was a big incentive for the players ahead of the trip to Hamilton. Few people would have probably expected Hibernian to have the chance of being second in the league in the middle of December.
Manager believes in players
However, Ross is one of those who believes in his players, and he has praised how well they have performed so far this season.

“To date they’re working really hard and have done their upmost to try and achieve them or put themselves in a position to achieve them (the goals set by Ross). So it’s a massive incentive for us, it continues to put us in a good place. It’s a nice feeling for to go into the game knowing that if we win we find ourselves in that position in the league”.
