Hibernian take on Rangers this evening, in the third meeting of the teams so far this season. The games between the sides this season have been highly competitive.
Jack Ross’ side held the Ibrox side to a 2-2 draw in the first meeting at Easter Road in September. Whilst although Hibernian lost 1-0 at Ibrox on Boxing Day, they created plenty of chances. They were perhaps unlucky not to leave with at least a point.
Wants another good display
Ahead of the third meeting between the teams, Ross has called for his team to replicate those two earlier performances.

“In terms of growing belief within the squad, the more good results you have against the top teams in the league the better. In the two games (against Rangers) I feel as if we’ve been highly competitive” he said.
“Obviously the draw at Easter Road and then in the narrow defeat on Boxing Day, I think in both games we were pleased with our performance. I felt like we were very much in the game, and obviously took something from one of them. I felt as if we could have taken something from the second one. We need to replicate that type of performance again” Ross stated.
Update on transfer activity
The Hibernian boss also gave an update on transfer activity as the window prepares to shut at the end of the month. At the moment, all seems quiet on that front.

“We’ve not got anything imminent. That’s not to say there won’t be any movement between now and the end of the month and the few days that remain. But, if the window was to close tomorrow I think we’d be okay where we were at.”
