Ross County manager John Hughes is looking forward to this afternoon’s relegation six-pointer against Kilmarnock.
The teams meet at the Global Energy Stadium with the Dingwall side currently one point ahead of Kilmarnock, who are ahead of bottom of the table Hamilton on goal difference.
A win for County would hand them a big advantage in the battle to avoid relegation, and the match is one that Hughes can’t wait for.
“I’m embracing that challenge”
“It’s fantastic. I want it. I’m embracing that challenge. You need to embrace it. Bring it on” he said.

“We know if we can win it, where we can go. That’s the positive. One thing I will say, it won’t be for the want of trying. The boys have gave me everything that they’ve got on that training pitch.
“We work them ever so hard, they keep coming back for more. And that’s why come Saturday I think we’ll be right in the match.
“A fine margin”
“It’ll be a fine margin, it might be a mistake, it might be a great goal, hopefully it goes our way, and we pick up three points” Hughes continued.

Hughes is hopeful that having County’s next two games at home will lead to an improvement in their home performances. They face Hibernian after taking on Kilmarnock. Hughes has plenty of belief in his side.
“It would be a nice time to do it now. It would be a great time to do it now. There’s a great belief that we can do it, a great belief that we can win any game. We’ve improved so so much in a lot of aspects of the game.”
