It was a great night for Aberdeen winger Ryan Hedges as his national side Wales secured progression to Euro 2020.
Two goals from Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey secured a historic night for Welsh football. A 2-0 win over Hungary ensured Wales have a spot in next year’s tournament.

It was a match the Welsh dominated from start to finish, with commitment and technical class on display for all to see.
Hedges was only drafted into the squad a couple of days before Ryan Giggs’ side’s monumental clash with the Hungarians. It was a late call but one Hedges accepted.
So far the winger has made three caps following his debut in November 2017 against Panama. He had to settle for a spot in the stands in Cardiff though.

He’ll be pleased nonetheless. Whilst he didn’t get on the park, Hedges is clearly in Giggs’ thoughts with a major competition coming up. You’d like to think Hedges will get the chance to show why he deserves to feature at next summer’s Euro’s.
For now though the Dons winger will be revelling in his nation’s success ahead of a return to domestic football with Aberdeen, who take on St Johnstone this Sunday.
