Kai Kennedy looks to have ended his Rangers career as he departs the Ibrox club for Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

The highly-coveted attacker has had a host of big names from across European football chasing his signature. Rangers have attempted to tie him down to a long-term Ibrox deal but have been unable to do so.

Now in the final year of his contract, an extended Rangers stay looks unlikely, and Kennedy still needs senior minutes. John Robertson has taken advantage of this and moves to bring him to his Inverness side.

An 18-year-old winger who predominantly plays on the left flank, Kennedy featured in the Rangers Colts side that faced Inverness in the Challenge Cup earlier this year.

Robertson’s side were denied the chance to contest the final of that competition due to the curtailment of the 2019/20 season.

Now they prepare for another season in the Championship and Kennedy will be amongst their ranks once he returns from Scotland U19s duty. The Rangers prospect will then go straight into Highland first-team contention as he builds senior experience.
