Norwich stayed clear at the top of the Championship table after a goalless draw with Millwall on Tuesday night. Daniel Farke’s team are currently five points clear of second placed Swansea, who do have a game in hand.
Perhaps the most important aspect of the game wasn’t the result, it was the return of Kenny McLean to the Norwich side. The Scottish international had missed the last two weeks of action after testing positive for the Covid-19 virus.
Came on for last 10 minutes
However, the midfielder made his return against Millwall. McLean came on for the final 10 minutes of the game. He was unable to help Norwich find a winning goal, but Farke will be delighted to have the 29-year-old available once more.

McLean has been one of Norwich’s best players this season, in a season which has seen the team top the Championship table for months. Farke will be hoping that McLean’s return can help Norwich return to winning ways.
Top of the table clash ahead
They have drawn their last two league games. Perhaps that wouldn’t have happened if McLean had been available for both games.

Still, now the player is back, and that can only be good news for McLean and for Norwich. You have to imagine that he will be in the starting line-up for Norwich’s next game, a top of the table clash against Swansea on Friday night.
McLean’s experience will be vital in that game. A win for Norwich would greatly enhance their chances of winning automatic promotion. Therefore, if possible, McLean seems would be a good candidate to start the game.
