Kilmarnock manager Angelo Alessio has said that the club and Manchester City winger Thomas Agyepong are ‘just chatting’, amidst speculation that the Ghanaian is wanted by them.
The Daily Record reported recently that the wideman was a target for Alessio. Now the man himself has weighed into the speculation.

Speaking to the Scotsman, the ex-Chelsea assistant addressed the Agyepong rumours.
Talking about the City winger, He said: “I can’t say anything about him at the moment because there are a lot of negotiations but nothing concrete.
“We are just chatting but, in the next week, I think the situation will become clearer.”
Alessio needs to be sure Agyepong is right for Kilmarnock
Wideman Agyepong joined the Citizens from the Right To Dream Academy in Ghana. Since that move, he’s not made a single senior appearance at the Etihad.

His latest loan spell took him to Hibs. He only made five Premiership starts as injuries blighted his time with the Hibees.
When he did get to the park though, the 22-year-old showed what he was capable of. Agyepong has searing pace and decent dribbling ability, something Alessio needs within his Kilmarnock squad.
With his recent injury troubles though, is he worth the risk? There’s no point signing him if all he’s going to do is sit on the treatment table. There will be players who are just as good as Agyepong out there, players who can play at least 30 games in a season.

Alessio needs to make sure Agyepong is right for Kilmarnock. The Italian can’t afford to blow some of his precious funds on an injury prone winger.
The interest has been confirmed it seems. Now the Killie boss has to decide whether the Ghanaian winger is a good fit for him and the club.
