Dundee United coach Lee McCulloch has revealed that star striker Lawrence Shankland was eager to move on from his remarkable goalscoring achievement.
The striker hit four goals for United in his league debut as the Tannadice side defeated Inverness 4-1.
However, the United coach has disclosed that Shankland is now ready to focus on the next game. That game is against Partick Thistle on Friday.

“He got a round of applause when he came into the dressing room after the Inverness game. Then, when he came in again on Monday morning, it was all forgotten about” McCulloch said, as reported by the Courier.
“Everybody is as one”
“Everybody is as one and that’s Lawrence down to a tee really.”
United fans will be delighted to hear that Shankland is only taking one game at a time, and not focusing on individual honours.

Having a prolific goalscorer can make a difference
This season it is all about promotion for Dundee United. Therefore, all at the club must stick together. However, having a prolific goalscorer in your side can make a big difference.

Shankland was at the forefront of Ayr’s battle to win promotion last season. It looks like he will be doing the same for Dundee United this season.
It is still early days in the Championship season. No one will want to get carried away yet. But if Shankland keeps up his great form, United must be favourites to win the league.
