Falkirk co-boss Lee Miller was pleased with his side’s 2-1 victory against Clyde – but it’s not looking good on the injury front for Aidan Keena as the Bairns forward took a bad knock in League Cup action.
Having been beaten 2-0 in their first match of the season against rivals Dunfermline, Miller and David McCracken’s men returned to winning ways against Clyde. Goals from Keena and Callumn Morrison were enough to cancel out a David Goodwillie leveler.

But whilst Miller was happy overall with the win, he had less promising words on Keena’s injury. He was subbed after 36 minutes following a collision with Tom Lang, one he didn’t come out of well.
“It’s really early to tell but it’s a bad one, a really bad one he’s took,” confirmed Miller of Keena’s injury. “We will need to assess it and move from there, he’ll be a big miss for us.
“I thought we did well, created chances, and could have scored a couple more. There are going to be games where we need to figure out a solution on how to win.
“I thought we were much better at defending set-plays. Obviously we want to score more goals but credit to Clyde, they are a well-organised side and I thought we dealt with their threats second half.
“It’s a great three points. We deserved it in the end. We made it hard for ourselves at times but overall I was pleased with how the game turned out. Momentum is key, you don’t get tired of winning games, no matter who is in front of you.”
Miller was also able to provide an update on Falkirk’s hunt for a centre-back. The co-boss confirmed after the Dunfermline defeat he was in the market for one and it’s a process still ongoing.
“There are a few different things we are working on,” he said. “We’ll just need to see how things go over the next few days but there are some things in the background.”
