The teenager has been sensational for Jack Ross this season, bursting onto the scene and earning a new contract until 2025. He’s been offered this as teams from the Premier League like Leeds United and Leicester City circle.
Several other big-hitters from English football are also taking an interest but the King Power Stadium team have taken steps to making a move. It’s reported that the Foxes watched Doig in action on Monday as Hibs beat Queen of the South 3-0 in the Scottish Cup.
While the likes of Leeds United are interested, it appears that Leicester City are the first to do substantial homework on the teenager worth around £1.5 million. Hibs chairman Ron Gordon has seemingly confirmed interest, saying attraction from Brendan Rodgers’ side left him ‘excited.’
Leeds United though have recently been in transfer talks with Hibs, taking young Hibees striker Ethan Laidlaw on a week’s trial last month.
