Stephane Omeonga recently uploaded a photo online with a green battery in it. In other news, the sky is blue and transfer silly season is well and truly upon us.

The ex-Hibs loanee is a target for his former loan club this summer. Hibees boss Paul Heckingbottom recently told the Scottish Sun that he hadn’t given up hope of signing the midfielder. Now the midfielder has ‘hinted’ at the fact an Easter Road return may be on via Instagram and a green battery emoji.

Not to ruin the fun, but this is no indicator that the Belgian is coming back to Leith.

It’s no Hibs transfer, Omeonga’s just on holiday

If we’re delving into small hints from Omeonga we might as well go all out. There’s a slight red bit in his Balenciaga cap. Does this suggest Aberdeen are interested?

The very dark green shirt may even be a Hibs indicator. Whilst it’s normal to get excited by little teases from star’s over their future, this is nothing to delve into deeply.

Omeonga’s simply on holiday. He’ll back somewhere for pre-season, although who knows where.

It won’t be at Hibs for now though, although his subtle battery emoji hint is seemingly telling others something else.

It’s important for Hibs fans not to get carried away with this, it’s just a social media post. The time to get excited is when Omeonga makes an official statement or manager Heckingbottom provides an update on the situation.

Omeonga was excellent for Heckingbottom last term. The Belgian would be an excellent addition once again this summer and Hibees everywhere will hope they get him.
