Livingston won’t do battle with Rangers today after their Ibrox encounter was postponed due to heavy rainfall.

The park in Govan has been deemed unplayable by match officials. It joins Motherwell v St Mirren on the list of Premiership matches to fall victim to adverse weather conditions this weekend.

Livi were heading into their match with Rangers on good form. They have threw themselves into the mix for a European spot, sitting four points off third, inspired by some remarkable home form.

They’ve won six on the bounce in West Lothian and have only suffered one defeat in six league games. Gary Holt’s men were facing a Rangers team under severe pressure after a midweek defeat to Kilmarnock leaves them toiling in the title race.

Their battle won’t be happening today though so a new time and date will be arranged for this fixture. With Rangers’ demanding midweek schedule though, it’ll be interesting to see when Livingston actually get to challenge the Gers in Glasgow.
