Aberdeen defender Shay Logan is confident that soon-to-depart captain Graeme Shinnie will shine in England when he completes his move to Derby County – and thinks that he’s be a regular starter for the Rams once Frank Lampard sees him close up.
Shinnie agreed a pre-contract with the Championship side earlier this week and will join them in the summer when his Pittodrie deal is up at the end of May.

Logan is sure his team-mate has what it take to succeed and is adamant that he’ll “never say die.”
“His mind set is 100%, never say die,” Logan told BBC Scotland.

“He can run all day, which you need to down there. Maybe he’s not got the best physique but you rarely see him pushed off the ball against bigger players up here.
“He’s one of those players who will give everything, and I think when Frank Lampard sees him, he’ll be starting.”
Shinnie has been a standout for the Dons since arriving from Inverness Caley Thistle and Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes will have a big task replacing his captain.

While the Scotland international should have enough about him to do well at Derby, a lot will depend on where Lampard views his future.
His versatility could see him shoe-horned in at left-back and seriously detract from his strengths as a player.
