It’s been a superb few weeks for Lyndon Dykes – and it got better on his QPR debut.
The Scotland international has had a life-changing month. In August he made a seven-figure switch to Championship side QPR from Livingston, being handed the number nine shirt at Loftus Road.
Having to choose between Australia and Scotland on the international scene, Dykes chose Steve Clarke’s team. His first two matches in navy blue had him produce two excellent displays, scoring against Czech Republic in a 2-1 win.
Just when it looked as if it was almost impossible to get better, it did on his QPR debut. Dykes scored the opening goal as Mark Warburton’s side secured a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
It’s a step up in the Championship for Dykes but he’s in terrific form, something that will no doubt delight former side Livingston. His overall performance was impressive too, earning praise post-match from his manager and the QPR fanbase.
Dykes’ good streak will be a major plus for Scotland in Euro 2020 play-off action if he can keep this up into October.
