Motherwell teen Bailey Rice is being watched by Manchester City and Rangers, according to a report, ahead of his 16th birthday in October.
Rice can’t sign a professional contract before he turns 16 and Motherwell could lose him for nothing – however with English rules forbidding him from going pro until he is 17, it could influence the Scotland youth international’s decision.

According to Football Scotland, Manchester City and Rangers are leading the chase for Rice, with City sending their Scottish scout to watch him in action.
Rice could still opt to remain at Motherwell and could see the chance of making his first-team breakthrough at Fir Park earlier than he would at Ibrox or the Eithad as a big reason behind his decision.
At only 15, there’s still a long way to go for Rice to be close to a first-team jersey though but interest from the likes of City and Rangers is a big feather in his cap.
