Aberdeen defender Max Lowe has admitted that the Dons players were “gutted” after Rangers salvaged a draw in yesterday’s Scottish Cup quarter-final clash at Pittodrie.
Sam Cosgrove’s first-half penalty gave the Dons the lead before Joe Worrall levelled the scored after the break to force a replay at Ibrox on March 12th.

Lowe believes the Reds answered critics of their recent form with a “good performance” against Gerrard’s side – and thinks they could have scored more.
“We are gutted in the dressing room,” Lowe said, as quoted by the Evening Times.

“We had a lot of chances which we could have scored from and the goal we gave away from the set-piece was cheap. There was a question mark over us due to recent results but we answered that with a good performance.”
The Dons will fancy their chances at Ibrox after beating the Gers twice in Glasgow already this season.

With the draw for the semi-finals taking place tonight after the Partick Thistle v Hearts game.
Both sides will be desperate to make April’s semi-finals and take a step closer to final – and potentially ending Celtic’s dreams of a triple treble.
