Morgaro Gomis has signed a contract extension at Falkirk– and Lee Miller and David McCracken couldn’t be happier about it.
The veteran midfielder has signed a contract extension that will see him stay at the Falkirk Stadium until 2021. He’s been a key part of their midfield this term, making 26 appearances in all competitions.
Currently second in League One, Gomis will have a big part to play in the Bairns’ quest for the third tier crown. He’s an experienced head in the changing room, having played for the likes of Dundee United, Hearts, Birmingham City and Motherwell over his career.
Falkirk will take on East Fife in their next match. It’s their game in hand over leaders Raith Rovers and three points could take them within a point of the League One leaders.
Speaking of Gomis’ extension, co-boss McCracken said: “It’s great to have a player of Morgaro’s quality signed up for next season. He’s played a massive part in the team and definitely has a big part left to play.”
Fellow co-boss Miller also had some kind words for the former Hearts and Dundee United battler: “Morgaro is an excellent professional and a terrific example to everyone in the squad. He’s someone that has played at a higher level and we’re delighted we have him for another year.”
