Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes has revealed that Ash Taylor could return to the Dons starting line-up for Saturday’s game against Ross County.
However, the bad news for Aberdeen is that Scott McKenna is set to miss the game. He suffered a hamstring injury in the recent 0-0 draw with Kilmarnock.
“Not ruled out”

“Ash is not ruled out for Ross County. If he is not fit for this week, though, he will be fit for the following fixture after the international break” McInnes said, as reported by the Evening Express.
He was less optimistic regarding McKenna though. At the moment, McInnes does not know when the centre-back will make his return to the Dons side.

“A real blow”
“The injury to Scott is a real blow because he started the game well. Hopefully Scott recovers pretty quickly.”
McInnes will be delighted to see Taylor just about ready to return. However, the injury to McKenna is a real blow to the player and the club.

He has already had to miss Scotland’s upcoming double header against Russia and Belgium due to the hamstring problem.
Now his absence for the Dons will make what has been a difficult start to the season for the Pittodrie side that bit harder.
The Dons have found it difficult to have a settled defence this season due to injuries. McKenna’s hamstring issue isn’t going to sort that problem any time soon.
