Motherwell full-back Stephen O’Donnell has signed a new deal to extend his Fir Park contract until the summer of 2023.
O’Donnell – who’s contract was due to expire at the end of the season – has been capped 18 times by Scotland and has emerged as a key player for manager Graham Alexander. Former boss Stephen Robinson brought O’Donnell to Motherwell from Kilmarnock last year.

The 28-year-old will likely go to Euro 2020 with Steve Clarke’s Scotland squad this summer, Alexander saying: “We’re very happy that Stephen has signed a new contract and decided to continue his career with us. He’s been brilliant since we came into the club both on and off the pitch.
“He’s a current and valued member of the national squad and feels he can be successful with us at Motherwell. We believe his best years are ahead of him and he’s a great example to others on how to be a top professional.”
