Motherwell have made their first Deadline Day move by signing Robbie Crawford on a permanent deal from Livingston.
The midfielder was brought to the club on loan from the Lions by former manager Stephen Robinson earlier this season and has made 11 appearances in claret and amber so far. Crawford featured 225 times for Ayr United before joining Livingston in 2019.
He made 26 appearances for Livi under Gary Holt and Motherwell manager Graham Alexander is hoping Crawford can thrive under his leadership: “We’re happy Robbie is staying on with us. He has shown he has the attributes to be a valuable member of our squad. He adds quality to the group and will be important for us in the coming months.”
It’s not the only piece of business Motherwell will complete on Deadline Day. The club are looking to make one or two extra additions to their squad while an announcement on out-of-contract men in Charles Dunne and Stephen O’Donnell is due.
