When St Johnstone take on Rangers at Ibrox tonight, it is fair to say that the Ibrox side will be strong favourites to win the game. As it stands they have yet to lose a league game this season, and are 20 points ahead of second placed Celtic.
They are also 45 points ahead of the Perth side. However, Saints midfielder Murray Davidson is looking forward to the challenge that Steven Gerrard’s side will pose.
“A tough game”
“It’s obviously going to be a tough game. But you can’t go into it thinking ‘oh this going to be a tough game’ or anything like that” he said.

“We know it’s going to be a tough game. But, we’ve been there before. We’ve done well there before. Rangers are going to win the league, I don’t think there’s any getting away from that now. So we’ll need to play well, but we know that if we can do things that we have been doing the last few games we can be a threat. But it’s one we look forward to” Davidson stated.
Full of confidence
Callum Davidson’s players will be full of confidence going into the game, after their come from behind 3-2 win over Kilmarnock at the weekend.

His Saints midfielder feels that it is important that his side get some momentum going before the Betfred Cup Final against Livingston later this month.
“The cup semi-final definitely gave everybody a lift. We’ve managed to get four points from the last two (league games). And if you offered that we’d have probably taken it. So we’re building momentum. It’s one game at a time, and hopefully we can keep the momentum going” Davidson said.
