Murray Davidson has sent a message to the St Johnstone faithful as a wait for the next football fix continues.

Scottish football is on an indefinite hiatus as the Covid-19 pandemic causes postponements of live sport across the globe. Nobody knows when this will pass and when football will return.

Davidson has told Saints fans via Twitter in the meantime that they should look after each other as the world try’s to cope with the pandemic: “It’s a worrying time for everyone with what’s going on with the coronavirus.

“Please look after yourself, friends, family and follow all the government guidelines regarding good hygiene. As players, we hope to be back out there as soon as possible.

“Hopefully you’ll be back cheering us on as soon as possible. Take care.”

Worrying times

These are unprecedented times for the whole world. Scottish football is just a small piece in this big puzzle that the globe is trying to handle.

Football has been described as the most important of the non-important things. In reality, it very much is about putting health and family first for now.

This is the message Davidson is trying to put across as St Johnstone fans wonder when they’ll next walk into McDiarmid Park.
