Former Aberdeen starlet Archie Mair has signed a new deal with Norwich City until the summer of 2024.

The Scotland youth international signed for Norwich City at the start of the 2019/20 season. Thought of as a highly-rated prospect in the Dons academy, Mair moved south after Canaries interest.

He featured in Premier League squads during his first season at Carrow Road but this season he has played with King’s Lynn in the National League. Mair has featured most matches and it’s been rewarded with a new long-term deal at Norwich City.

Having only played regularly at youth level, former Dons prospect Mair is enjoying his first season playing every week on the senior stage: “National League football has been really challenging, I’ve really enjoyed it and all the people at King’s Lynn are really great, so I’ve enjoyed working for them.

“It’s been a really good challenge for me, the season has been a bit up and down a lot of times, but I’ve really enjoyed every minute.  We [players on loan] are looked after a lot, we’ve got the loans manager Neil Adams who’s been to a lot of my games, Stuart Webber has been to a few as well.

“They’re always watching and knowing what’s going on, asking me about it and things, so the support is top level, it is great.”
