Lewis Morgan has been linked with a move back to the UK as Nottingham Forest and Sheffield United reportedly monitor his situation.

The former St Mirren star has revitalised his career in the MLS after a spell at Celtic didn’t work out the way he’d hoped. He signed for David Beckham’s Inter Miami at the start of 2020. Nottingham Forest and Sheffield United have taken note of his form.

Morgan has shone for Beckham’s MLS outfit, named as the club’s MVP for the 2020 season, ahead of such stars like Blaise Matuidi and Gonzalo Higuain. Seen as a low-key signing, he’s blossomed into a star.

Earning Inter Miami’s MVP for his contributions in the latest MLS season, French sides Bordeaux, Marseille, Nice and Rennes are all aware of his form while Nottingham Forest and Sheffield United are monitoring Morgan.

The winger started his career at St Mirren, where he helped them earn promotion back to the Premiership, earning him a move to Celtic. He spent time out on loan at St Mirren and Sunderland before an exit this year.

Beckham’s MLS franchise came calling and now Morgan is a key man, their top scorer with five goals and has delivered the most assists with eight. Speaking of his Most Valuable Player award, Morgan says he’s thrilled.

“This accomplishment is actually something that I kind of targeted,” says Morgan. “It’s important to set high standards for yourself and it’s something that I aimed for at the start of the year.”
