Hibernian goalkeeper Ofir Marciano is confident that the Easter Road side can have another decent result at Ibrox when they take on Rangers on Sunday.

Hibs have picked up points at Ibrox in the last two seasons, and Marciano believes that it can happen again. He does admit however, that the Hibees will need to be at their best to get a result.

“We always play well there”

“You can see Rangers getting better, but we always play well there and are looking forward to it” Marciano said, as reported by the Evening News.

It will be interesting to see how Hibs boss Paul Heckingbottom approaches the visit to Ibrox. His predecessor, Neil Lennon, wasn’t afraid to go on the attack when playing Celtic or Rangers.

Hibs have the players available to take that approach. It is the early stages of the season, the Easter Road club have nothing to lose by having a go.

Should look to perform on the front foot

Rangers could also be affected by having to play a Europa League match on Thursday night. Therefore, Hibs should look to attack and win the game.

If it doesn’t work out, at least it shows their aims for the rest of the season. They will look to be aggressive and not overrated by the bigger teams they come up against.

A win for Hibs at Ibrox would be a huge boost for the season ahead. It could prove that they are able to challenge for honours this season.
