Falkirk could be set to lose one of their managerial targets as Peter Grant is lined up for a reunion with Eddie Howe at Celtic (Daily Record).

Grant has been linked to the vacancy at Falkirk after the departures of Lee Miller and David McCracken as co-managers as the Bairns remain in League One for a third season. Formerly a coach with Celtic and the Scotland National Team among others, Grant resigned from his role as Alloa Athletic manager last week after the club were relegated to League One.

Falkirk’s hunt for a manager is still ongoing and Grant has been mentioned as one possible candidate, although the club are currently undertaking the interview process. In the meantime, their potential target is being linked with a return to Celtic.

Howe is set to take over as manager at Celtic Park and bring with him his backroom team of technical director Richard Hughes and coaches Stephen Purches and Simon Weatherstone from ex-club Bournemouth. Grant worked with Howe as a player, when the former Alloa manager was Bournemouth assistant manager.
