Dundee United midfielder Peter Pawlett supports manager Micky Mellon and believes that he will get the Tannadice side back on track this season.
United have not won any of their last eight games, and most recently lost 2-1 in midweek to Motherwell. However, ahead of today’s game against Ross County, Pawlett reckons that Mellon can turn United’s season around.
“We believe in the manager”
“We believe in each other, and we believe in the manager. Today is an opportunity to go and get three points. We’re new to the league, and we just want to build on that and be good” he said (The Courier).

Pawlett has disclosed that Mellon has discussed with the players that the recent run of results has not been good enough for United. However, Pawlett is confident that Dundee United can get back to winning ways in Dingwall.
“We’re aware of the situation and what’s happening underneath us and the manager’s made that clear, but I don’t think anything changes on our behalf.
“We keep focused”
“We keep focused and keep our mentality right, and we’ll be ready to take on the challenge of getting three points. That’s all we can affect at this moment in time. As footballers that’s our job and as soon as the whistle is blown we’ll be ready to go” Pawlett stated.

Interestingly, Dundee United have a 100% record against Ross County this season. They have won both league meetings 2-1. Another 2-1 win for United would be an ideal result at this moment in time for Mellon. It would get United’s season back on track after this current poor run.
