To lose a goal so late on was a cruel blow – but getting a point from Celtic is still a positive according to Hibs striker Kevin Nisbet.

The forward had another good game on Saturday, scoring against Celtic in the 2-2 draw at Easter Road. Hibs found themselves 2-0 up with 15 minutes to go but they couldn’t hold on.

Odsonne Edouard scored from the spot before Diego Laxalt rescued a point for the visitors. While Hibs should be proud of their performance overall, Nisbet was frustrated that it wasn’t rewarded with a win.

“It feels like a defeat,” said Nisbet (Hibs TV). “But we are playing the team that have been champions the last nine years. They have great players but we couldn’t hold on for a point.

“The first half against Celtic you need a platform to come into the game. We had a go in the second half and found ourselves 2-0 up with 30 minutes to go.

“Unfortunately we couldn’t see it out but it’s a point gained.

“We should be proud of ourselves but we are now focused on the game against St Johnstone.”
