St Mirren v Aberdeen, Celtic v Ross County and Falkirk v Rangers will be the televised games during the League Cup’s round of 16.
The matches will be played in front of the Premier Sports cameras between the 28th and 29th of November. Aberdeen travel to Paisley for a 5:15PM kick-off on the Saturday night whilst Celtic host County and Falkirk take on Rangers the following day, a glamour tie for the League One home side.
All remaining fixtures will be 3:00PM kick-off’s on Saturday 28th.
There were no surprises in Premier Sports’ selections. Games involving Celtic and Rangers, especially against lower league opposition, were always likely candidates whilst St Mirren v Aberdeen is an intriguing all-Premiership tie.
Other matches in this round include Alloa v Hearts, Arbroath v Dunfermline, Hibs v Dundee, Livingston v Ayr and Motherwell v St Johnstone.
Everyone will be hoping to go one step away from Hampden in a couple of weeks time as teams strive to finally end Celtic dominance in the competition.
