St Johnstone midfielder Ali McCann is believed to be a target for English Championship club Preston North End (Sun).
Saints manager Callum Davidson featured for Preston North End as a player and his former club are eyeing one of his top players. McCann has shone for the Scottish Premiership club in the last 12 months.

He helped them win a historic League Cup and Scottish Cup double last season while performing excellently against Galatasaray in the Europa League this month.
McCann has a price of £3 million with Davidson keen to keep the Northern Ireland international. Preston have made their interest in McCann known but need to sell players of their own first before being able to financially afford a move.
St Johnstone face Dundee United at McDiarmid Park this afternoon before the second-leg of their Europa Conference League play-off match against LASK on Thursday. The tie stands at 1-1 after Saints’ impressive draw in Austria.
Celtic and Stoke City are two of the other clubs prominently linked with McCann this summer.
