Queen of the South are the latest club in Scotland who could have fans attending their games. The reason for that is that Dumfries and Galloway is set to move to Tier one restrictions on Friday.
Clubs in Tier One areas can have a small number of fans attend their games. Recently, fans have attended games at Ross County, Inverness and Elgin.
Released a statement on website
With that in mind, the Championship club have released a statement on their website seeking Scottish Government approval for the return of fans to Palmerston.

The club state that they have been working for weeks on a plan to have fans return to the ground, and they expect a similar number of fans to attend the game as have been allowed at other stadiums in Tier One areas.
That means an attendance of around 200-300 fans. The club is also planning to make the first game they get permission for into a test event. That means only one stand will be open.
Test event on Boxing Day
The test event game is likely to be the game against Dundee on Boxing Day. That is the first game that Queen of the South have at home. Their next few fixtures are away from home.

There is good news for season ticker holders of the club contained in the statement. Should permission be granted, the club intends to hold a ballot so that every season ticket holder can attend one of the club’s home games in December or January.
Now the club needs to receive permission for the go-ahead for fans to return. Should the club get the thumbs up, it will be a boost for all at Palmerston.
