Queen’s Park have secured the return of Celtic starlet Luca Connell on loan as the Irishman looks to gain more first-team experience and help the Spiders in their push for promotion from League One.

Connell had a brief stint on loan with Queen’s Park last season and has been a regular in Celtic’s B side this season in the Lowland League but will rejoin Laurie Ellis’ men until the end of the season.

The Spiders currently sit top of League One, having only been promoted over the summer, and the addition of the Irish youth international should be a real boost to their promotion hopes.

After joining Celtic two years ago from Bolton Wanderers, Connell is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Parkhead side, and following his omission from their European squad a loan exit seemed inevitable.

WAYNE ROONEY TO EVERTON IS A JOKE.

His previous stint with the Spiders was an impressive one, racking up three goals and five assists in eleven appearances last season to help secure the League Two title under Ray McKinnon before a change of management over the summer saw Ellis replace his former boss.

Connell could make his second Queen’s Park debut this weekend when they make the trip to Cumbernauld to face Danny Lennon’s Clyde at Broadwood as they look to maintain their lead at the top of the table.
