The sacking of Ian Murray by Raith Rovers after just one league game was a controversial one.
The Championship side then employed former Sheffield United defender Neill Collins as his replacement but they’ve struggled to replicate the heights of last season when they came close to promotion to the top flight.
There have been some decent results but not that consistency, as a win over Queen’s Park last night has them sitting sixth.
However, Raith have been hit the bombshell news that Collins will now be moving on.
He has only taken charge of 15 games after his appointment in September. Rovers won six of them, drew three and lost six.

Collins leaves Raith for Sacramento Republic
USL Championship side Sacramento Republic have moved to take him back to the States after a previous spell at Tampa Bay Rowdies.
And it has been revealed it was always his ambition to head back to the US.
In between, Collins worked at Barnsley before his return to Scotland with Raith.
His playing career was mostly spent down south with the Blades, Wolves, Sunderland and Leeds, among others.
Raith statement on Collins
Collins had a release clause in his contract which has been met by Sacramento, and he made it clear he would like to move on despite efforts to keep him.
A statement from the Raith reads: “Last Sunday, we were informed that Sacramento Republic were prepared to activate the compensation clause in Neill’s contract to appoint him as their manager.
We met with Neill to express our desire to retain him as manager, but he made it clear that his ambition has always been to return to the United States, and this opportunity was too good to turn down for him and his family.
We would like to thank Neill for his dedication and commitment during his time at Raith Rovers, and we wish him every success in California with Sacramento Republic.
The process of appointing a new manager is already underway. In the meantime, Colin Cameron and John Potter will oversee first-team duties on an interim basis.”
