Rangers prospect Rhys Breen is on the move, with Partick Thistle losing the loaned defender to Queen of the South.
Ian McCall once again used his connections at Rangers to land another signing at Firhill. Breen followed the likes of Zak Rudden, Jamie Barjonas and Cammy Palmer in signing for McCall’s side from the Rangers academy system.

He made six appearances while at Firhill as the Jags push for promotion back to the Championship. Breen now joins Queen of the South in the Championship, who themselves are looking to maintain their status in the division.
Queen of the South manager Allan Johnstone said: “We would like to thank Rangers for allowing Rhys to join us on loan.
“It is no secret that with only four recognised defenders in the squad, it was an area that we wanted to strengthen when the transfer window opened to give us more competition. Rhys is still young but is highly thought of and is recognised as a player with a big future in the game.”

The defender trained with Queen of the South this morning and could make his debut on Friday night when they take on Queen’s Park at Hampden Park in Scottish Cup action. The Palmerston outfit sit eighth in the Championship currently.
