Glenn Middleton has moved to delete all references to Hibs from his social media accounts.

The Rangers loanee joined the Hibees in the summer. He has played 257 minutes, or the equivalent of two games with an additional 77 minutes on top.

He has since removed all links to Hibs from his Twitter account, whilst similar has happened on Instagram.

Can’t read into it too much

It is an odd move, given that he’s only just joined and there are plenty of Rangers links on his page, but this shouldn’t be taken as a sign of how he’s feeling at Hibs.

So far Paul Heckingbottom has used him pretty regularly, playing him in five games and starting him in three.

Middleton’s only added the one assist to his name, although in flashes he has shown promise with his pace and direct dribbling qualities.

Whilst he may be taking a while to find consistency perhaps, Middleton is a good young player with plenty of desireable attacking qualities. Heckingbottom will no doubt plan to use him regularly over the course of the season.

The youngster’s social media actions shouldn’t be looked into with seriousness.
