St Mirren have officially completed the signing of Rangers youngster Daniel Finlayson.
Manager Jim Goodwin confirmed before the 2020/21 Scottish Premiership season ended that the youngster would leave Rangers permanently for St Mirren in the summer. Finlayson has signed a two-year deal after his initial year-long loan spell from Ibrox.

A Northern Irish youth international while at Rangers, Goodwin handed Finlayson his senior debut and first start before the season was brought to a close. The deal was put in place last summer and now Saints have gone through with it.
It’s another piece of defensive contract business sorted for Goodwin, following on from captain Joe Shaughnessy signing a new two-year deal. St Mirren’s manager said: “Joe is our captain and he’s been a great leader for us since he joined. He has been a good senior pro for us and really led by example in his time at the club.
“He’s a great role model for some of our younger players and we’re pleased that he has agreed to extend his time at the club.”
