“I have not spoken to anyone at Reading so far. But I will just be waiting for a phone call or an email to let me know when pre-season is. I will take it from there.”
Marc McNulty hasn’t heard anything more on his Reading future as he looks forward to a semi-final trip with Dundee United.
The striker has scored three goals in four games for the Arabs and scored twice on Sunday as the Reading loanee helped United sweep past Aberdeen 3-0 and into a Scottish Cup semi-final with former club Hibs. McNulty believes it was his best performance in Tangerine but his Reading future is no clearer.
He said (Scotsman): “I would agree it was my best performance and the team’s. The gaffer is always on about defending from the front and our midfield three working hard and defending the wide areas. The fitness coach said our stats for the boys were through the roof.
“We knew what was at stake because we had been talking about it all week. It was the perfect day. We defended well, everybody worked hard, we got a couple of goals and everything just went our way.
